I feel exhausted, I am not used to "working" so hard!

I did my usual Saturday stint at the Cambridge Art & Craft Market but usually, Sunday is my day off. Instead, this week I was at the Corby Glen Sheep Fair. Unfortunately, the weather was dreadful, lots of the planned events were outdoors and had to be cancelled and consequently attendance was low. It rained all morning but managed to brighten up a bit in the afternoon so there were a few visitors after lunch time.

The people I met were lovely and I managed to have a worthwhile day but there were so many great craftspeople there, I spent half my takings on other peoples' items! I got a great candle holder which has been painted by a lady whose card I have lost. I also bought some soap, shampoo and other nice spoil myself items from the Spinning Lady who sells handspun sheeps' wool. The soap products are all made from bi-products of fleece production.

Plus, bargain of the day was a charcoal drawing by a local artist of two hares boxing and it is absolutely splendid - she should be charging much more than £7.50! I can't wait to get it framed and put on my wall.

I met a fellow lampworker who wasn't exhibiting, just visiting, and it was nice chatting to her. One of the other jewellery stallholder's husband was intrigued by lampworking and I think he has decided to take it up himself. I sent him off armed with the names of the authors who got me started (Cindy Jenkins, Kimberley Adams and Corina Tettinger).

I only managed to make a few recycyled beads after a late start this morning and as the weather was unaccountably nice for the first time in a while, DH and I took the dog for a lovely walk in nearly Stoke Rochford.

We try to have a slowish day on Monday to make up for working on Saturdays and that way we get a "weekend" but more often than not, we end up working anyway.

Plus I have just won at University Challenge (9 correct answers -v- DH's 6!) but am now feeling all sleepy from a combination of the fresh air and red wine with dinner (one of DH's famous hot pots).

I must get back into full production mode tomorrow!
